The family would like to take the time to update all of Stephenie's wonderful friends, colleagues and family about her current condition.  In the past week, Stephenie's condition has worsened significantly.  Due to increased swelling in the brain and seizures, Stephenie is now physically incapacitated.  She is not in pain and is resting peacefully surrounded by her loved ones.  Thank you for your continued love, support and prayers.

  2. And He will raise you up on eagles’ wings,
bear you on the breath of dawn,
make you to shine like the sun,
and hold you in the palm of His hand.

  3. I am praying for a MIRACLE. They happen. I believe in them. May Saint Mother Theodore Guerin touch our Stephenie, give her strength and give her family strength to overcome this latest battle. I pray for a complete, miraculous cure. I ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.

  4. What an inspiration Stephenie is even to those like me who met her less than a year ago! I expressed an interest in her work at a mediation conference last August, and she welcomed my interest with such open arms and boundless enthusiasm!! I can't imagine the blessing she must be to those close to her. My best wishes and fervent prayers to those around her now. She touches many you will never meet.. Blessings to you all!!

    Take, Lord, and receive
all my liberty, my memory, my understanding and my entire will -
all that I have and call my own.

You have given it all to me.
To you, Lord, I return it.

Everything is yours; do with it what you will.
Give me only your love and your grace.
    That is enough for me.

  13. She was my attorney when I fought for 2 long years to get custody of my daughter. She was awesome. I cried on her shoulder twice and she let me. Found out later that we had mutual friends and we exchanged e-mails now and then to see how each other was doing. I remember finding out about her cancer and talking to her about it. She was optimistic, and was up to the last moment I imagine! She was a great person, good friend and good lawyer. She gave lawyers a good name in my book and she did so much for family law and families of Indiana. She will be missed. Much Love!

  14. It is with heavy heart that I post my goodbyes to my Woodsie Sister, Stephenie. You put up a valiant, courageous fight. Rest now in Our Lord and know that the world was better because you were in it. I will pray for your boys, because I'm sure they will miss their loving, beautiful mother. You were such an inspiration to us all and we will miss you. I thank God for His gift of you to us that knew you. I thank God for your life and for all those you helped. You are our Angel now--so I know you will continue to help us here: to understand, to accept, and to never forget you and the blessing you were to us. Rest in Peace, dear Stephenie, my Woods Sister. We will miss you.
